Had a heck of a time adding International calling to my plan. Initially, tried to figure out if Verizon could possibly figure out why my mom couldn't get through. But, according to them, everything seemed to work fine. They suspect, she wasn't dialing it correctly. However, mom said, she was dialing it like she did before ... no idea. And without her being able to understand the message that was being stated, there's no telling for sure. Had a tough time getting tech support on the line anyway - had to call sales representative we got the phones from and she hooked me up. then we had to go through 9-lines-of-you-know-what to get the International calling plan added - come to find out, only one plan per line. I didn't even dare ask how much it would've been for a second line - so we decided, I just put it on my cell phone, nix the home phone. Had to drive back to the mall to bring the equipment back before the 14 days trial period runs out. Made in the nick of time before mall closed. However, next, kicker, we forgot, they still charge you a termination fee of $35 bucks. Got that waved as we got the Wi-Fi service they have. This way hubby can now use it for his Xbox to go and get him some game add-ons, or take it to work, and use it there with his cell phone to get online. Seemed like a fair deal. That way he won't have to bug me all the time and me having to double- and triple-check my bandwidth. I know that made him feel better.
So, after an afternoon of stress, frustration, irritation levels going through the roof, we were able to settle things - hopefully working for everyone. My mom just will have to understand we can't be talking on the phone every day, or for hours on end now neither. Not like we have been, so, I don't expect too much upset ... crossing fingers. That's all I'd need right now ...
